Getting to The Plaza Hotel
We are located in the North East City of Kuala Lumpur.
About 1 hour from KLIA Airport in Sepang. There are various
means of transportation getting to The Plaza Hotel. The
options are as follows:
Taxi
All taxis operating within Kuala Lumpur City are metered.
The taxi charges based on meter reading for a single passenger
is charged at RM2 for the first 2 km and RM0.10sen for every
subsequent 200 metres, and RM2.00 for the first two minutes
and RM0.10sen for every 45 seconds for waiting time. If there
are extra passengers (more than 2), then there will be extra
charges at RM0.20sen. Luggage stored in the trunk will be
charged an additional RM1.00, and a fee of RM1.00 will be
imposed for house call taxis. Taxis are available round the
clock but are subject to 50% surcharge on the metered fare
from midnight to 6a.m. Taxis from Airport terminals and KL
Sentral uses the coupon system.
Star LRT
There are several Light Railway Transit, but the
one that is nearer to The Plaza Hotel is one station belongs
to the Star LRT. The Star LRT station that nearby The Plaza
Hotel is the Sultan Ismail station.
Coaches or Bus
The buses of KL are comfortable, modern and air-conditioned.
Service is comprehensive and it is a quick and inexpensive
way to get around. The two main bus companies are Intrakota
and Cityliner. Other bus companies include Rapid KL, Len Seng
Bus, Metrobus and Cityliner. It is "pay-as-you-board"
and it is best if you have the exact change in hand.
KTM
The electric trains run from Sentul to Port Klang and Rawang
to Seremban, from 05:00-24:00. Fares depend on the distance
and cost RM1–RM4.80 for a single journey. Return fares
and 12-trip tickets are available. Each station has easy-to-use
ticket machines.
Limousines
Can be hired at the airport at the Limousine Service Counter.
also through Pelican Tours and Travel and at most luxury hotels.
Limousines to the city from Kuala Lumpur International Airport
cost about RM100 and hire per day costs approximately RM400.
